Spring Classics Week 2014
Amstel Gold race, Fleche Wallonne and Liege Bastogne Liege

19th to 28th April 2014

For 2014, we are offering this new trip with first of all your chance to ride and watch the 2014 Amstel Gold Race in Holland before heading over to the Walloon area of Belgium and the 2014 Fleche Wallonie where you will watch the pro race after riding the route yourself. We finish the week with the sportive version of the 2014 Liege Bastogne Liege followed by watching the 100th Liege Bastogne Liege.

Please fly to Brussels Airport where we will come to collect you from the airport or the Eurostar station to take you across to Valkenburg for the first 3 nights, followed by 6 nights in Liege.

Planned itinerary:

Saturday the 19th of April:
Please arrange your own flight to Brussels airport or Brussels Eurostar train station where we can come to collect you. To do this, we have to receive your flight arrival and departure times at the time of booking or as soon as you have them.

We spend the first 2 nights on bed and breakfast basis at the centrally located Hotel Walram in the Netherlands. The hotel is in the centre of Valkenburg so is ideally located to watch the Amstel Gold Race.
This evening is free for you to explore the restaurants of the town of Valkenburg.

Sunday the 20th of April: 2014 Amstel Gold Race
Today is the 2014 Amstel Gold Professional race. We will use our expert knowledge of the region to see the race at numerous locations, including some of the famous short climbs like the Cauberg.

There are plenty of roadside food establishments dotted around the route for you to grab some food on the way.
This evening we will return to the hotel in Valkenburg.

Monday the 21st of April: Ride the Amstel Gold race route
After breakfast we will ride all or part of the Amstel Gold race route. The route is permanently marked out in the Limburg countryside due to the popularity of the event.
After our ride today, we will move on to the hotel in Liege where we will stay the next 7 nights.

Tuesday the 22nd of April:
Today we will take the opportunity to ride part or all of the Fleche Wallonne route. The 2014 edition of la Flèche Wallonne will start in Bastogne in 2014. This coincides with the 70th anniversary year of the Battle of the Bulge in World War II, which centred around the south Wallonia town. The finish will be on the Mur de Huy like in 2013.

Wednesday the 23rd of April: The 2014 Fleche Wallonie
Today we travel to see the start of the 2014 Fleche Wallonie in Bastogne. Using our expert knowledge of the region we hope to see the race at numerous locations and the finish on the Mur de Huy.

Thursday the 24th of April:
We hope to we visit the famous Eddy Merckx factory in the morning and in the afternoon to have a bike ride through the Walloon countryside. It is likely that there are pro teams out training as well as during previous rides in this area, we have encountered various Pro teams.

Friday the 25th of April:
After breakfast, you'll be taken to the registration for the 2014 Liege Bastogne Liege Challenge. After this, you'll have some time to take a short ride and make sure your bike is in full working order for the event on Saturday.

Saturday the 26th of April: 2014 Liege Bastogne Liege Challenge
After an early breakfast, we will take you down to the start of the 2014 Liege Bastogne Liege Challenge. At the end, we'll be there for you at the finish in Liege.
After everybody has finished, you can ride back to the hotel in Liege. We will be well placed to watch the race tomorrow..

Sunday the 27th of April: 2014 Liege Bastogne Liege Pro race
Our location in Liege is ideal for accessing the start area where you will be able to see the teams arrive, after which we take you to numerous points along the route to get as many sightings of the race as we can, including the steep hills of the Cote St Roch, Cote de Wanne, Cote de Wanneville, Cote de La Redoute and the finish in Ans.
In 2013, we managed to see the race 7 times so we hope to repeat this in 2014.

Monday the 28th of April:
