Spring Classics Week 2015
Amstel Gold race, Fleche Wallonne and Liege Bastogne Liege
18th to 27th April 2015
For 2015, we are offering this trip with first of all your chance to watch the Amstel Gold Pro Race in Valkenburg, Holland on the Sunday. After this you will be heading over to the Walloon area of Belgium and the 2015 Fleche Wallonne where you will watch the pro race after riding the route yourself. We finish the week with the sportive version of the 2015 Liege Bastogne Liege followed by watching the 101st Liege Bastogne Liege.
Please fly to Brussels airport where we will come to collect you from the airport to take you across to Valkenburg for the first 3 nights, followed by 7 nights in Liege.
This is a small, exclusive tour with only 8 places. We use minibuses and there will be 2 Sports Tours members of staff looking after you.
Friday 17th of April:
We spend the first 3 nights on half board basis at the centrally located Hotel Walram. The hotel is in the centre of Valkenburg so is ideally located to ride and watch the Amstel Gold Race.
Please make your own way to our hotel in Valkenburg or we can come and collect you from Brussels airport. We will run one transfer at 15.00 to Valkenburg.
This evening we arrive at the Hotel Walram in the centre of Valkenburg in the heart of all the action
Saturday 18th of April: The Amstel Gold Race Cyclo Sportive
There will be the option of taking part in the 150km Amstel Gold Race cyclo sportive event that follows the latter part of the race route including all the famous climbs.
Included with your entry:
- Guaranteed participation in the Amstel Gold Race cyclo sportive
- A warm welcome on race day with coffee, traditional local pies and sandwiches in a special room in the Amstel Gold Race Xperience in Valkenburg
- A dedicated room for you to pick up your starter kit
- A speech from the course director and a special guest

For those not bringing bikes, the day will be at leisure.
Sunday 19th of April: 2015 Amstel Gold Race
Today is the 2015 Amstel Gold Professional race. We will use our expert knowledge of the region to see the race at numerous locations, including some of the famous short climbs like the Cauberg.
This evening we will return to the hotel in Valkenburg.
Monday 20th of April: Ride the Amstel Gold race route
After breakfast we will ride all or part of the Amstel Gold race route. The route is permanently marked out in the Limburg countryside due to the popularity of the event.
After our ride today, we will move on to the hotel Husa de la Couronne in Liege where we will stay the next 7 nights on half board basis.
Tuesday 21st of April: Ride the Fleche Wallone route
After breakfast today we will take the minibus and head over to Huy.
Today we will take the opportunity to ride part of the Fleche Wallonne route. This will make you realise how tough the Fleche Wallone actually is! The 2015 edition of la Flèche Wallonne will start in Bastogne. The finish will be on the Mur de Huy like in 2014.
After riding we will return to our base in Liege and enjoy our evening meal.
Wednesday 22nd of April: The 2015 Fleche Wallone
After breakfast we will travel to Huy. In 2014 we parked on the main road that runs parallel to the Mur. From there we can walk to the start of the women's race. We will spend the day here as it is an excellent location with a big screen, refreshements and stalls to have a look at.
After the race we return to Liege and have the evening meal at the hotel.
Thursday 23rd of April: Flanders cobbled hills
Today we will head over for a bit of Tour of Flanders action. We will travel to Oudenaarde and ride some cobbled hills like the Koppenberg, Taaienberg and Oude Kwaremont. We will visit the Tour of Flanders museum in the afternoon and in the afternoon with hopefully a tour by ex-World Champion Freddie Maertens.
Friday 24th of April: Bastogne
After breakfast, we are planning to have a day off the bike and visit Bastogne. You can have a look at some of the Liege Bastogne Liege displays and we can visit the new museum about the Battle of the Bulge.
In the afternoon you'll be taken to the registration for the 2015 Liege Bastogne Liege Challenge. After this, you'll have some time to take a short ride and make sure your bike is in full working order for the event on Saturday.
We will be hooking up with our other groups who will be riding the Liege Bastogne Liege Challenge tomorrow.
Saturday 25th of April: 2015 Liege Bastogne Liege Challenge
After an early breakfast, you can ride to the start of the 2015 Liege Bastogne Liege Challenge. After the ride we'll be there for you at the finish in Liege.
After everybody has finished, you can ride back to the hotel in Liege. We will be well placed to watch the race tomorrow.
Sunday 26th of April: 2015 Liege Bastogne Liege Pro race
Our location in Liege is ideal for accessing the start area where you will be able to see the teams arrive, after which we take you to numerous points along the route.
Monday 27th of April:
Return travel to Brussels airport. Please book your flights after 12:00. We will run 1 transfer back to the airport.

At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit per person, plus the full race entry fee, which is non-returnable once booked. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 12 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip.
