L’Etape du Tour 2011

Etape du Tour Winter training camp & Easter, Spring Bank Holiday and May Day Bank Holiday Training Weekends in The Yorkshire Dales

Typical Yorkshire Dales scenery - Photo copyright Dave LawranceOver our 10 years of taking UK cyclists to Etape du Tour we have found that a lot of riders are not properly prepared for the rigours of completing the Etape du Tour route. This may be for a number of reasons, either lack of training or under estimation of the severity of the route.

In 2010 almost 10,000 riders took the line, with over 3,000 not completing the course, and giving cause for the organisation to issue this comment: “6888 riders finished this legendary stage before the time limit. A lot of participants were eliminated during the Tourmalet climbing, most of them were not enough prepared and trained”

We have therefore put together a series of unique and very comprehensive weekend training camps which will help you arrive at the 2011 Etape du Tour with all the preparation necessary to achieve your goal.

New for 2011, we will be holding a winter training camp at Gran Canaria.

Our Yorkshire Dales Etape du Tour Training & Preparation camps will be based in the market town of Skipton, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park at the excellent Hotel Rendezvous.

In order to get the most out of a training weekend we have decided to hold them over 3 long weekends in April and May, which will enable you to get 2 long and testing rides plus a short Monday morning ride as well as 2 important seminar evenings where we will discuss the 2011 Etape du Tour route and your approach towards it.

The weekend INCLUDES an optional ENTRY ONLY place to L’ETAPE DU TOUR 2011. (£200, payable seperately)
