Travel packages with guaranteed entry to the 2013 Gran Fondo Campagnolo Roma which will take place on 13th October 2013 are now available.

Itinerary:

Friday 11 October 2013 - Arrival day:
Arrange your own flight to Rome's main airport; Rome Leonardo da Vinci or also called Fiumicino. We are doing 3 airport transfers from the airport to the hotel at 12.00, 15.00 and 18.00. Please let us know your flight time in advance so we can ensure that we are expecting you at the right time.

We will be staying at the centrally located Mercure Piazza Bologna within easy reach of all of Rome's main tourist attractions and more importantly the start and finish of the Gran Fondo Roma.

Saturday 12 October 2013 - Registration and expo day:
After breakfast you will have time to build your bike for tomorrow's event and have a test ride. You can either take the various options of public transport to the expo area at the Terme di Caracalla or you can ride there from the hotel.

The event's dedicated village is in the start/finish area at the Terme di Caracalla which is about 5km away from our hotel. There are various dedicated areas for different side-events which include:

  • Expo and bike test areas
  • Various sports exhibitions
  • Animations
  • Sporting goods and stands of bike manufacturers

There is also a vintage bike area.

The evening will be at leisure to sample some of Rome's many outstanding reataurants.

Sunday 13 October 2013 - The Gran Fondo Campagnolo Roma:
This is it. The day of the 2013 Gran Fondo Campagnolo Roma. You will line up with many thousands of cycling fans to ride through Rome and all of its historical sites like the Castelli through the Colosseo, Via dei Fori Imperiali, Quirinale and Piazza di Spagna. You will be riding through history.

After the finish, you can ride the short distance back to the hotel and again the evening is at leisure to eat out.

Monday 14 October 2013 - Departure day:
We will run several different departure transfers back to the airport. Please let us know your departure time so we can arrange to get you back to the airport at the right time.
