Quebrantahuesos (Spanish Pyrenees)

Cyclo Sportive Event...
19th to 22nd June 2008

Updated for 2008!

The Quebrantahuesos is the largest cyclo sportive event in Spain, and each year it attracts over 8,000 competitors, and in 2005 became part of the UCI Golden Bike series.

The start and finish is held in the town of Sabinanigo in the Spanish Pyrenees and the route is a classic Pyrenean mountain stage.
The 205km route starts from Sabinanigo and climbs the Col du Somport (1,640mt) and crosses the border into France where it climbs the steep Col du Marie Blanque (featured Etape du Tour 2005) before returning to Spain via the Col du Portalet (1,795mt) to finish back in Sabinanigo.

It is a very well organised event and there are many food and liquid stations placed along the route, tech support and electronic timing.

Like most cyclo sportive events there are Gold, Silver and Bronze certificates to be obtained, based upon the time you complete the event and the age category you fall into.

Because of our good relationship with the organisation we are able to provide you with priority numbers and entrance to the official post event party.
