Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 hotel packages

Cyclo Sportive Event...

3rd to 5th August 2013

Prudential RideLondon forms part of the London 2012 Olympics legacy events for cycling. It is your opportunity to cycle on closed roads around London, and most importantly for cyclo sportive riders, ride a route that replicates much of the 2012 Olympics Road Race.

Over 55,000 cyclists applied through the ballot to enter the 2013 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100, but only 20,000 people will be on the start line. Sports Tours International are proud to be able to offer you the chance of be there with one of our hotel packages which includes GUARANTEED STARTING PLACE in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100.

The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 mile sportive will start at the new Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follow closed roads through the Capital out into Surrey following much of the Olympic road race route. From Surrey it then comes back towards the centre of London taking in some of the UK's most famous landmarks before finishing on The Mall, home to many famous events in British history, and overlooked by Buckingham Palace, home to the British Royal Family.

Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 forms part of the larger RideLondon weekend, which also includes the Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle on Saturday 3rd August where up to 70,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities will ride freely (and non-competively) around an iconic 8 mile circuit in Central London; the Prudential RideLondon Grand Prix on the morning of Sunday 4th August around a 1.3 mile circuit in Central London for Elite Women, Juniors and hand cyclists from around 08:30am and will finish before the first of the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 riders arrive at The Mall.

The 1.1 UCI ranked Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic road race, starting around 12:30pm from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, will feature 160 of the top pro cyclists in the World riding the Olympic Road race route after the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 participants have been through the course, eventually finishing too on The Mall.

For the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100, there will be waived starts based on perdicted rider times between 06:00 and 08:00 and you must be able to complete the course within 9 hours. We are expecting up to 20,000 cyclists to participate in Year 1 and for Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 to become the World's largest fund-raising cycle ride, very much in a similar style to how the Virgin London Marathon has become the World's largest fund-raising marathon run.
