Since
the demise of our own Six-Day event in 1980, Ghent has become the
adopted home venue for British Six-Day fans.
 The Ghent track is only 168 m round,
but this combined with its steep bankings ensures fantastic racing
and a superb atmosphere.
Our location for the weekend is at the very central
Hotel Ibis, excellent hotels within walking distance of the stadium,
and situated close to many shops, bars and restaurants. In fact the
hotel is on the same street as the famous bike shop, Plume Vainquer.

Nights in Ghent (No overnight travelling)
Friday 21st November:
Our touring coach will make collections at Leeds, Manchester/Sheffield,
Birmingham, London and service stations on the motorway networks
used.
We sail Dover to Calais, and travel directly to Ghent, where we
anticipate arriving approx. 20.00hrs. On arrival we shall check
into the Hotel
Ibis, where we spend 3 nights on B&B basis. The racing starts
at 19.00hrs and finishes at 02.00hrs. If you wish to visit the racing,
then we shall take you to the track immediately after checking in.
Saturday 22nd November:
Day at leisure in Ghent or join our optional visit to the beautiful
city of Brugge.
At 18.00hrs you will be taken to the Sportpaleis for the evenings
racing.
Sunday 23rd November:
Morning at your leisure in Ghent. Afternoons racing starts at 12
noon and finishes at 7pm, giving you the evening in Ghent.
Monday 26th November:
Travel home, stopping at a French hypermarket for those Xmas duty
free's, before taking the mid-day sailing to Dover, arriving in
the North late evening.
