The 95th Giro d’Italia will produce one of the most exciting and spectacular finales in recent years. Packed into the final week of the 2012 Giro d'Italia are no less than 4 mountain stages and an individual time trial for the final stage in the city of Milan.
It is the beautiful Dolomite Mountains where the 2012 Giro d’Italia will be decided and there are no less than 3 mountain stages, 2 of them summit finishes (Alpe di Pampeago & Passo Stelvio).
On this holiday you will have the opportunity to ride the Granfondo Marcialonga sponsored by Craft 2 days after the pros ride the 19th stage of the Giro. You can go and watch the Pros before you go and tackle the route yourself. Two distances:
The first one is 80km with 1894 metres of climbing and a maximum gradient of 18% on the last climb.
The longer distance is 135km with 3279 metres of climbing. The highest point is the Passo Valles at 2038m high with a maximum gradient of 19.2%.
The Course:
The race starts and finishes in Predazzo main square. The course runs through Val di Fiemme and after passing through the old town of Cavalese gets into Sudtirol and its green landscape. It will then return to Trentino crossing the Lavaze Pass and Monti Pallidi. The course leads then to Val di Fassa where it goes through the village of Moena in the Dolomites climbing up the San Pellegrino Pass. Then it runs through the province of Belluno towards the Valles Pass. You get back to Predazzo through the Paneveggio natural Park with the background of the beautiful Pale di San Martino mountains.

Thursday 24th May:
Arrange your own flight to Venice airport airport, where you will be met by our reps, and transport will be provided to our hotel in Predazzo. We shall spend the night in the city of Predazzo and there will be a welcome evening meal, which will give you the opportunity to meet and get to know your fellow travellers.
Friday 25th May:
19th stage of the Giro d'Italia - Teviso to Vale di Pampeago (197km)
The route ascends the Val di Fiemme from the Manghen Pass and goes through Cavaleso and Tesero where the climb of the Passo di Pampeago begins. From Pampeago the race descends to Novale, in South Tyrol and goes up to Passo Lavaze, down again to Tesero and finally it arrives for the second time at the Alpe di Pampeago.
Today there will be free access along the hill for bikers and pedestrians. There will aslo be discounted prices for the cable car to get to Pampeago from Predazzo and to get to the Reiterjoch Brow.
Saturday 26th May:
The opening of the Craft Marcialonga Gran Fondo.You can go and register, collect your start number and visit the Expo.
Sunday 27th May:
Race Day - The sixth edition of the Gran Fondo Craft Marcialonga
Monday 28th May:
Our coach will leave at 07.30hrs and will take you back to Venice airport for your return flight.

At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit per person. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 12 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip.
