We have been appointed by A.S.O. (Etape du Tour organisation) as an official agent for taking entries for the following countries:

UK, IRELAND, USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND,
SOUTH AFRICA, SPAIN, PORTUGAL,
DENMARK, SWEDEN, FINLAND

We have been allocated 1,200 guaranteed entries to the event, and these will be allocated between packaged tours and entry only.

By taking a packaged tour to the Etape du Tour, you will benefit from our wealth of logistical experience in taking people to this special event. With over 14 years experience in taking groups to L’Etape du Tour we are the Official Tour Operator that has the most experience, an important consideration when deciding your trip.

Not only do you benefit from our experience, you can be guaranteed that your hotel accommodation will be in or very close to both the start and finish towns, another important factor to consider when planning your trip to the Etape du Tour.

We have provided a number of different packages to suit most peoples requirements and budgets, and hope that you find them of interest.

We shall be operating the following packages to the 2008 Etape du Tour:

Location Location Location is one of the most important factors in having a successful Etape du Tour, and this package has the convenience of spending 3 nights prior to the event in the start town of Pau and 1 night after the finish at a hotel 5km from the base of the climb to Hautacam. This way you will be able to ride to the stage start in Pau and after the finish ride direct to the hotel where your luggage will be waiting. It doesn’t come much better than that…..

PAU 3 NIGHTS FIXED CENTRE PACKAGE (FLY / SELF DRIVE)
Friday 4^th to Monday 7^th July
This package is aimed at those people who have a limited amount of time to spend at the Etape du Tour, and is one of our more popular packages. Flights will be to Toulouse, Bordeaux and Pau, whilst those chosing the self drive option can leave vehicles at the hotel in Pau or the airports of Toulouse and Pau 
This is a FIXED CENTRE that will be based in the start city of Pau and will mean no checking out of the hotel in the morning of the Etape as we return to the same hotel after the finish. There will be a choice of 4 different standards of accommodation (BUDGET, 2* STANDARD, 3* QUALITY, 4* LUX).

There will be 380 places available for this package.

LOURDES 3 NIGHTS FIXED CENTRE PACKAGE (FLY / SELF DRIVE)
Friday 4^th to Monday 7^th July
This package is aimed at those people who have a limited amount of time to spend at the Etape du Tour, and is one of our more popular packages. Flights will be to Toulouse and Pau, whilst those chosing the self drive option can leave vehicles at the hotel in Lourdes or the airports of Toulouse and Pau.
This is a FIXED CENTRE that will be based in / near the city of Lourdes (10km from finish) and will mean no checking out of the hotel in the morning of the Etape as we return to the same hotel after the finish. There will be a choice of 3 different standards of accommodation (BUDGET, 3* QUALITY, 4* LUX).

There will be 200 places available for this package.

THE 2 NIGHTS SELF DRIVE PACKAGE - LOURDES / ARGELES GAZOST
Friday 4^th to Sunday 6^th July
This package is aimed at those people who have a limited amount of time to spend at the Etape du Tour and prefer to drive to the Pyrenees. Leave your car with a change of clothes at the finish car park at the foot of Hautacam on Friday 4^th July and join our transport to a nearby hotel (Lourdes/Argeles) where you will spend 2 nights prior to the start. After the finish take your car and return to the hotel to collect the rest of your luggage. You must check out of the hotel the morning of the Etape but we have arranged for you to keep luggage in a room.

THE PREPARATION PACKAGE – FIXED CENTRE
Wednesday 2^nd to Monday 7^th July
This package is aimed at those people who want to arrive a few days before the Etape du Tour, and have more time to either chill out and get ready for the event or check out some of the Etape stage route prior to the event.
You will spend 5 nights in the spa town of Bagneres de Bigorre at the excellent 3* Hotel Relais des Pyrenees (Laurent Fignon Cycle Centre). The hotel is located on the stage route and offers easy access to both the Col du Tourmalet and Hautacam for pre event inspection. On the 2^nd 3^rd & 4^th ex TDF Champion and hotel owner Laurent Fignon will be present and is holding a training camp at the hotel.
Flights will be to Toulouse airport only, and clients on self drive can either leave their cars at Toulouse airport or at the hotel.
In the past we have found that people choosing this package arrive at the Etape in a more relaxed frame of mind.

THE COACH PACKAGE (ETAPE & PYRENEES RIDING)
Thursday 3^rd to Friday 11^th July
This package is aimed at those people who want to make a holiday out of the Etape du Tour and who prefer to travel from the UK to the French Pyrenees by luxury coach rather than by air and don’t want to run the risk of plane damage to their bikes or the bike not arriving.
After riding the Etape du Tour we shall stay on in the Pyrenees and ride some of the monumental climbs that also feature in the Tour de France. We shall spend 6 nights in the spa town of Bagneres de Bigorre at the excellent 3* Hotel Residence, which is excellently located for both accessing the Etape and the Pyrenean cols.
There will also be the option to join this tour at the Paris Mercure hotel and Toulouse airport with the COACH PACKAGE FLYING OPTION.

THE COACH PACKAGE (ETAPE & TOUR DE FRANCE WATCHING)
Thursday 3^rd to Friday 11^th July
This package is aimed at those people who want to make a holiday out of the Etape du Tour and who prefer to travel from the UK to the French Pyrenees by luxury coach rather than by air and don’t want to run the risk of plane damage to their bikes or the bike not arriving.
After riding the Etape du Tour we shall see a number of stages of the Tour de France. For the Etape we shall spend 3 nights at a 3* Hotel in Lourdes, and after 3 nights in Poitiers for accessing the Cholet Time Trial, Cholet to Chateauroux stage and Aigurande stage start.
There will also be the option to join this tour in Paris at the Mercure hotel.

ACCOMMODATION ONLY PACKAGES

The following packages are aimed at those people who already have an entry to Etape du Tour and require accommodation near to both the start town of Pau and close to the finish at Hautacam. We have a 3 night fixed centre trip based in Tarbes at the 4* Le Rex Hotel.

ETAPE DU TOUR ALTERNATIVE

If you would like to ride a stage of the Tour, but would prefer to tackle one of the Alpine stages, or don't fancy riding with large groups of riders on the Etape, we have a Tour de France Package which allows you to do just that.
Our "Ride an Alpine stage of the Tour de France" package allows you to ride the Embrun to Alpe d'Huez stage of the Tour. (210km) on 21st July, before watching the pros tackle the same stage 2 days later.
The stage includes the Col du Lauteret / Galibier and the Col de la Croix de Fer in addition to Alpe d'Huez.

WILL YOU READY FOR THE ETAPE?

The Etape du Tour is a very physically demanding event and maybe people don’t appreciate the training and preparations that are required to complete the event, and achieve their goal.

If you want to achieve your Etape du Tour goal, have the perfect preparation and avoid being swept up by the broom wagon then you may want to consider our Etape Training Weekends in the Yorkshire Dales or our Etape du Tour route reconnaissance weekends in the Pyrenees.
These training weekends will ensure that you fully understand what is required to ride the Etape du Tour
Our panel of experts will organise Etape du Tour training rides, hold route analysis seminars, as well as give coaching advice on training and preparations for the event.

1. Study the different packages / entry only that we are offering and make your choice.

2. Download a booking form and complete it with all the required details including your date of birth, not forgetting to indicate your 2^nd choice of package (Demand is likely to be very high and the most popular packages will sell out in days). Semi completed and unreadable booking forms may delay your booking and cause you to miss your 1^st choice.

3. Download and complete an official Etape du Tour entry form and return it to ourselves.
This form must be completed in full as indicated in our help document. (click to download).

4. Post, Fax, or E-Mail the completed booking form to ourselves along with a deposit cheque / credit card details equal to 50% of the package price + the Etape du Tour entry fee. Overseas customers need to fax/email their completed booking form with credit card details. Incorrect payment may delay your booking acceptance. This initial deposit is NON REFUNDABLE.

5. Your booking will only be accepted when we have received your booking form and correct payment.

6. After you have submitted your booking form and payment you will receive a “Booking Invoice Confirmation” which will confirm your place on the Etape du Tour and will indicate which trip you have been booked on to (Important!! This maybe your 2^nd choice). It will also indicate when your final 50% payment is due.

7. The final 50% payment will be due no later than 8 weeks prior to the departure date of your tour. If your payment is not received by our office by this date, your booking will automatically be cancelled.

8. Each participant to Etape du Tour will require a medical certificate from their doctor saying they are fit to take part in a cycling competition.
