L’ETAPE DU TOUR 2008 LOURDES FIXED CENTRE PACKAGE 3 NIGHTS FLYING / SELF DRIVE Friday 4th to Monday 7th July

This package is aimed at those people who have a limited amount of time to spend at the Etape du Tour, and is one of our more popular packages. Flights will be to Toulouse and Pau, whilst those choosing the self drive option can leave vehicles at the hotel in Lourdes or the airports of Toulouse and Pau.
This is a fixed centre trip that will be based in the city of Lourdes (25miles from the start and 7miles from the finish) and will mean no checking out of the hotel in the morning of the Etape as we return to the same hotel after the finish.

There will be a choice of 3 different standards of accommodation (BUDGET, 3* QUALITY, 4* LUX). All accommodation will be on Half Board basis (Dinner B&B).

There will be 240 places available for this package.

Friday 4th July:
Arrange your own flight or drive to either of the following airports, Toulouse or Pau. Alternatively drive direct to the hotel in Lourdes.

Please make sure that you book your bike onto the flight (this maybe at an extra cost). Flights are going to be in high demand, so please book early to secure a seat and get the best rate.

Those choosing to drive can leave their car at any of the airports (Toulouse & Pau) or at the hotel in Lourdes.

On arrival at your chosen airport you will be met by our reps, who will show you to the awaiting coaches that will take you to your hotel in Lourdes, where we shall spend 3 nights on Half Board basis (Dinner, B&B). 

Saturday 5th July:
Free day for making any last minute preparations before the event. In the morning you will be able to have a short ride and in the afternoon we shall join the coach and travel to Pau and the start village to collect your race number etc etc.

Sunday 6^th July:
This is it, the day of your dreams, your chance to ride a mountain stage of the 2008 Tour de France, 8500 participants, closed roads, feeding stations and Mavic assistance, just like the real thing……Start time is anticipated to be 07.30hrs, so after an early breakfast you will be taken from Lourdes the short distance to Pau for the start.
Our reps will be waiting for you at the Hautacam finish from where you will be able to ride the short distance back to the hotel in Lourdes (7miles). No need for waiting for the coach.

Monday 7^th July:
After breakfast we shall offer transfers back to the airport of Toulouse at the following times (07.00hrs, 10.00hrs & 13.00hrs) and to Pau for the Ryan Air flight back to London Stansted.
