L’ETAPE DU TOUR 2008
2 NIGHTS SELF DRIVE PACKAGE
Good 2* or 3* HOTEL
Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July
 This
package is aimed at those people who have a limited amount of time
to spend at the Etape du Tour and prefer to drive to the Pyrenees.
Leave your car and a change of clothes at the finish car park at the
foot of Hautacam on Friday 4th July and join our transport
to a nearby hotel (Argeles / Lourdes) where you will spend 2 nights
prior to the start at a good quality 2* hotel near Argeles or 3* Hotel
in Lourdes. After the finish take your car and return to the hotel
to collect the rest of your luggage.
You will spend 2 nights on Half Board basis (Dinner B&B).
There will be 40 places available for this package.
Friday 4th July:
Drive to official Etape du Tour car park, located at the bottom
of the
climb to Hautacam.
At 12.00hrs, 14.00hrs, 16.00hrs 18.00hrs and 20.00hrs we shall
offer coach transfers for the short distance to your hotel, where
we shall spend 2 nights on Half Board basis (Dinner B&B) at a
good 2* hotel near Argeles or 3* Hotel in Lourdes
Saturday 5th July:
Free day for making any last minute preparations before the event.
In the morning you will be able to have a short ride and in the afternoon
we shall join the coach and travel to Pau and the start village to
collect your race number etc etc.
Sunday 6th July:
This is it, the day of your dreams, your chance to ride a mountain
stage of the 2008 Tour de France, 8500 participants, closed roads,
feeding stations and Mavic assistance, just like the real thing……Start
time is anticipated to be 07.30hrs, so after an early breakfast you
will be taken from Lourdes the short distance to Pau for the start.
You must vacate your room when you leave for the start, but we have arranged
for you to keep your luggage at the hotel.
On arrival at the finish you will be able to descend Hautacam to your car and
return to the hotel in Lourdes to collect your luggage.
