This
package is aimed at those people who have a limited amount of time to
spend at the Etape du Tour and prefer to drive to the event rather than
fly.
Leave your car with a change of clothes at the official car park
at the finish village in La Mongie (on East side of Col du Tourmalet)
on Saturday 17th July and join our transport to either outskirts of Pau
(Hotel des Pyrenees & Hotel du Bearn) or outskirts of Tarbes (Hotel
Chaumiere du Bois), where you will spend 3 nights on Dinner Bed & Breakfast.
This is a FIXED CENTRE tour that will mean no checking out of the
hotel on the morning of the Etape as we return to the same hotel after
the finish.

We have reserved accommodation on Dinner Bed & Breakfast at the
following 2 Star hotels on the outskirts of Pau Hotel des Pyrenees

Friday 16th July:
Drive to your selected hotel, where you spend 3 nights on Dinner
B&B basis. This day you will also be able to register and leave
your bike at the bike store in Pau.
Saturday 17th July:
Free day for making any last minute preparations before the event.
If you didn´t register or leave your bike at the bike store
in Pau, then you can do this today. In the afternoon, drive to
the official Etape du Tour car park, located at the ski station
of La Mongie, on Col du Tourmalet (East Side). Leave a change of
clothes in the car, ready for when you´ve finished the Etape.
At 16.00hrs we shall offer coach transfers for the short distance
to your hotel, on the outskirts of Pau or Tarbes.
Sunday 18th July: L'ETAPE
DU TOUR - PAU TO COL DU TOURMALET
This is it, the day of your dreams, your chance to ride a mountain
stage of the 2010 Tour de France, 9000 participants, closed roads,
feeding stations and Mavic assistance, just like the real thing……Start
time is anticipated to be 07.00hrs, so after an early breakfast
you will be taken from your hotel the short distance to Pau for
the start.
Those staying at the Hotel des Pyrenees on the outskirts of Pau,
will have the option of riding to the start (10km).
SPORTS TOURS INTERNATIONAL WILL PROVIDE 2 PRIVATE FEED STATIONS
ALONG THE ROUTE
At the finish our reps will be waiting to meet you at both the top
of the Col du Tourmalet (Finish) as well as the finish village in
La Mongie (5km down from the summit).
After finishing the event you will be able to take your car and
return to the hotel.
Prior to leaving the rendezvous point, you may want to join our
post race festivities with Pasta and drinks.
Monday 19th July:
After breakfast, departure at your leisure.
