99th Tour de France - 30th June to 22nd July 2012

The route of the 2012 Tour de France was announced in October and it will prove to be a race for all cycling fans with the first few days spent in the cycling country of Belgium, before heading into Northern France.

From there, the Tour de France will head down through the Vosges into the Alps and some mountain top finishes, the sort of which get us very excited at the propsect of titanic battles between the main contenders.

From the Alps, the 2012 Tour de France will head through Southern France to the Pyrenees and some iconic mountain climbs, including the Cols d’Aubisque, Tourmalet and Aspin. After the finish of the mountain stages, there is still a time trial to Chartres to content with before the triumphant ride around Paris and the finish of the 2012 Tour de France on the Champs Elysee.

The Early Stages

THE START WEEKEND - Friday 29th June to Monday 2nd July 2012
With the start of the 2012 Tour de France in Leige, we are offering a great value 3 night trip, including coach travel from the UK to Belgium. It will be a fantastic experience seeing the top cycling riders in the World, set off at the start of the greatest cycle race.

THE FIRST WEEK - Sunday 1st to Friday 6th July 2012
For the first week of the 2012 Tour de France in Belgium and Northern France, we are offering a great value 5 night holiday, including coach travel from the UK, with the option for you to spectate or also bring your bike to ride some days.
We will be seeing parts of Stages 2, 3, 4 and 5. With most of these stages being flat, we will be there to Catch Cav! Yes, we will be there to cheer on 2011 World Champion and Tour de France Green jersey winner and see what stages he can win. No doubt, he will face stiff competition in his quest to win the Green jersey for the second year running, before he attempts to win the Gold jersey at the 2012 Olympic Road Race in London.

The Mountain Stages

2nd Weekend (VOSGES MOUNTAINS STAGES) - Friday 6th to Monday 9th July 2012
On this Tour de France cycling holiday you will see the first major mountain stages in the Vosges mountains.
The riders will have to face 2 difficult stages of the 2012 Tour de France in the Vosges mountains, the first being a steep summit finish and the second a 5 col stage into Switzerland.

3 ALPINE STAGES - Tuesday 10th to Saturday 14th July 2012
This tour is for those people who have a limited amount of time to watch the Tour de France, but want to see the most exciting and dramatic stages of the Alps.
On this tour you will see the first major mountain stages of the 2012 Tour de France, which will shake up the overall classification and show who’s hot and who’s not.

2 PYRENEAN STAGES - Tuesday 17th to Friday 20th July 2012
The final mountain stages of the 2012 Tour de France will take place in the Pyrenees and on this tour you will see the most important 2 mountain stages of the race and most likely the decisive stages that will sort out the final classification. These includes the massive 4 col Pyrenean stage from Pau to Bagneres de Luchon which tackles the Aubisque, Tourmalet, Aspin and Peyresourde, and the final mountain stage to the summit finish at the ski station Peyragudes that takes in the difficult Port de Bales. For those bringing bikes you will be able to ride the famous climbs the feature on the 2012 Route du Tour such as the climbs of Col d’Aubisque, Col du Tourmalet, Col d’Aspin, Col du Peyresourde, and Port de Bales.

3 PYRENEAN STAGES 6 day holiday - Sunday 15th to Friday 20th July 2012
This Tour de France trip is for those who want to experience all the drama and excitement of the 2012 Tour de France as the peloton passes through the Pyrenees for the final mountain stages of the 2012 Tour de France.
On this tour you will see the flattish stage on Monday between Samatan and Pau, then the 2 Pyrenean mountain stages of the race and most likely the decisive stages that will sort out the final classification. This "Pyrenees to Paris" Tour de France vacation offers you the chance to see all the deciding stages of the 2012 Tour de France, as you follow the race in its final week from the high mountains of the Pyrenees to the cobblestones of the Champs Elysees.
In the Pyrenees you´ll see the stage to Foix, the massive stage the covers the Aubisque, Tourmalet, Aspin & Pyresourde and the final stage to the ski station of Peyragudes that includes the difficult Port de Bales. If this is not enough, you´ll see the Chartres Time Trial, followed by the final stage on the cobblestones of the Champs Elysees.

On this holiday you will see all the main high mountain stages of the 2012 Tour de France, which in the Alps includes the Grand Colombier, the summit finish at La Toussuire, and the Col du Granier. In the Pyrenees you´ll see the stage to Foix, the massive stage the covers the Aubisque, Tourmalet, Aspin & Pyresourde and the final stage to the ski station of Peyragudes that includes the difficult Port de Bales.
If this is not enough, you´ll see the Chartres Time Trial, followed by the final stage on the cobblestones of the Champs Elysees.

The Paris Finale

Final weekend in Paris and Chartres Time Trial Friday 20th to Monday 23rd July
This is our most exclusive final weekend package to the Tour de France. This is a short weekend trip to Paris for the finish of the Tour de France.
Accommodation will be in the heart of Paris at the 4* Mercure Paris Suffren Tour Eiffel, which is only a few steps away from the Eiffel Tower.
