TOUR DE FRANCE 2014

The Northern France Stages VIP Experiences

7th to 11th July 2014

With the 2014 Tour de France moving into France for the 4th stage after visiting Yorkshire and London for the 2014 Grand Depart, as a VIP Tour Operator to the 2014 Tour de France, we have some incredible experiences available for you in Northern France, the Vosges mountains, the Alps and the Pyrenees and Bordeaux

Further to our standard tour which takes in the Northern France Stages with coach from the UK to watch the Northern stages of the 2014 Tour de France, we can also offer some unique trips with VIP access to the Tour...

The Stages:

Tuesday 8 July - Le Touquet Paris Plage to Ypres - 164km
On the 8th of July 2014, le peloton will cross the Channel for a start from Le Touquet Paris-Plage. This 4th Stage will link Le Touquet with Lille or more exactly, a finish in Villeneuve d'Ascq at the Stade Pierre Mauroy.

Wednesday 9 July - Ypres to Lille - 156km
After yesterday's first stage back on French soil, Stage 5 starts in Ypres, Belgium, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I. Ypres was the epicentre of some of WWI's heaviest fighting.

This stage is very interesting as you will see whippet-framed climbers bounce up and down on the cobbles. More than 15 km will be on 'Secteurs Paves' used during the 'Hell of the North'; Paris-Roubaix. More info here on what to expect.

Thursday 10 July - Arras to Reims - 194km
On July 10, Stage 6, from Arras to Reims, will also follow much of the First World War Western Front. The Tour will say goodbye to Northern France. The Yellow Jersey will leave the region with a depart from Arras in the direction of Reims and the Champagne region.

Le Touquet-Lille. Ypres-Wallers-Arenberg. Arras-Reims. 3 étapes dans le Nord Pas-de-Calais pour le Tour de France 2014.

VIP and Hospitality options and travel packages:

You will arrive by Eurostar in Lille and we will be there on arrival to meet you and escort you to our hotel in the centre of Lille, only a stone's throw away from the train station.

On the first day we will drive you to a point on the route of today's flat stage from Le Touquet to Lille and you will ride the spectator-lined route supported by our officially accredited vehicle. On arrival in Lille, you will enjoy VIP Tour de France hospitality at the Izoard VIP area.

On the second day, ride all 9 cobbled sections of the stage like a Pro just a few hours ahead of the peloton and pass under the official finish line where you will have your photo taken under the offical finish in the forest of Arenberg. Await the arrival of the riders in comfort.

On day 3 you will enjoy VIP access into the start village of the stage from Arras. Wear your VIP badge and mingle with the Tour's official entourage and riders and celebrities.

After watching the finish, you will celebrate the victory with Champagne.

Arras start village VIP access:
On Thursday 10 July the 2014 Tour will start from the town of Arras before setting off for Reims. You will have passes which give you VIP access to the activities surrounding the stage start. We expect the "start village" to open around 10:30am. On arrival you will be greeted by someone from the Tour de France organisation who will show you around the area and give you an insight into the inner workings of the Tour. This area is off limits to the general public and there are various things to look at like shops and exhibitions and there will be entertainment as well.

The highlight of this is the fact that the VIP accreditation also gives you access to the riders' start area so you can mingle with the racers and team directors and other people close to the inner world of cycling. Many people really enjoy the start village access due to the fact that you get very close to actual riders and you get a good insight into the inner workings of the Tour de France.

Also available to book as an additional extra if you book our Coach trip from the UK.

Price: £199 per person. Hotel options are also available. Please contact us on cycling@sportstoursinternational.co.uk

We also offer travel packages to enjoy the Tour in Yorkshire and in London.
