This winter we will have a great and exciting selection of cycling training camps to Majorca available in association with Max Hurzeler, the Mallorca cycling specialists.

The duration is 8 days with options for guided and self-guided rides, road bike or hybrid bike hire and a choice of hotels in different locations. These packages are operated by Max Hürzeler bicycle holidays.

Majorca is a great place to go cycling with numerous opportunities for mixed and varied riding. If you like heading into the mountains, you can go to the north west of the island, if you want easy leisure rides then go central or if you want a mix of both then the East Coast and south of the island are ideal.

Unlike the other cycling training camps we offer, you can build your own bespoke package based on the elements that you require from your cycling holiday/ training camp.

Please note that our holiday advisor at our office can talk you through the different options and work out the total price for you. Below is how the different elements are bookable with their costs. All prices quoted below are based on a 7 night stay at the 2 available hotels.

Step 1: The cycling package:
The Autumn and Winter 'cycling package' is included in the hotel prices below. This entitles you to bike storage, maps, discounts in the cycle shop for clothing, support from the team and route suggestions.

Step 3: Choose your bike

There is a choice of bikes to suit your riding style and the type of holiday you want to do. Bike hire is payable locally in cash in euros at the cycle station. However, you book the bike in advance as part of the booking.

Please note: the prices for the Bike Hire is in Euros (€) because you pay for this locally

These superb bikes are stored in the cycle centres around the island often in hotels where you stay. If you have your own pedals, you can bring these and they will be fitted for you.

All bikes are cleaned nightly and stored securely at the cycle centre. You can also store your own bikes at the hotel.

Step 4: Holiday total:

The total price of the holiday is based on adding together each of the holiday components. Please remember that you pay for the bike locally in euros and not at the time of booking.

We will reserve the bikes on your behalf at the time of booking.

Map and Route Information:

This is a self-guided holiday, however you can sign up in the hotel to daily rides with a group of cyclists staying in your hotel with rides categorised by ability and speed.

Each guided ride will cost €10 (payable locally) with discounts for the more rides you buy. However, you will have the bikes to enjoy and explore as much of the island as you please using your included maps.

Group categories / Ability levels:

• Beginner Groups: Small tours with an emphasis on enjoyment. Tours from 20-50 km per day: average speed is not important. Discover the beauty of nature by bike and do your health a good turn along the way.
• Easygoing Groups: 40-70 km per day. Speed: 16-19 km/h. Wouldn’t you like to get active and enjoy a cycling tour, instead of just sitting by the pool all day?
• Fun Groups: 50-90 km per day. Speed: 19-21 km/h. Suitable for people who simply want to get some exercise in the saddle during a week of active holidays.
• Hobby Groups: 80-120 km per day. Speed: 21-23 km/h. For people who cycle regularly for exercise.
• Hobby Groups (long): 90-150 km per day. Speed: 21-23 km/h.
• Touring Groups: 90-150 km per day. Speed: 24-26 km/h. You have already trained for 500-1000 km, and you still want to achieve something this season…
• Speed Groups: 100+ km per day. Speed: 27+ km/h. You are a top cyclist and are looking for a challenge on two wheels.

The routes will vary according to your hotel choice. Rides in the Alcudia area will be around the north and rides in Palma will be in the south and centre.

More information about bike options:

• If you have your own pedals and shoes, please bring them and they will be fitted when you rent the bike
• Cleaning of bikes is also included in the rental prices
• All rental bicycles are fitted with a pump, cycle computer and pedals
