From Saturday 15th of September until Sunday 23rd of September 2012 the World Championship road cycling will take place in Maastricht in the southern Dutch province of Limburg.
The World Championship is an annual road cycling competition and is held in a different country each year, and we will be seeing if the reigning cycling World Champion Mark Cavendish can win the Rainbow jersey for the second year in succession.
For the fifth time the race-course cross through 14 communities in the South of Limburg and the finish will take place at the famous hill “De Cauberg”. The Cauberg was the stop of different famous cycling competitions such as “Tour de France”,“Amstel Gold Race” and the “Dutch Championship for cycling”.

From 15 until 23 September 2012 the world championships road cycling are held in Limburg, the Netherlands. You can take part in the Worlds too!
On Saturday 15 September, the only official Worlds cyclosportive offers amateur cyclists the opportunity to ride the exact same course as the professional riders do during the various races. The cyclosportive takes in the most famous Dutch 'mountains' such as CAUBERG and BEMELERBERG. In short, a unique day that will provide you with an unforgettable experience in Dutch Limburg.
